Competency Checklists available through Nursing Reference Center

Nursing Reference Center now provides access to clinical papers about nursing skills and procedures, detailing the necessary steps to achieve proficiency in a specific nursing task. You can find these in the Skills and Procedures section, which also contains Skill Competency Checklists that can be printed out and used to document required competencies.

To find these tools, log in to HEAL-WA and follow the link to Nursing Reference Center, then click the tab labeled “Skills and Procedures”.

Getting Started

Certain resources in HEAL-WA (indicated by a lock lock) require a HEAL-WA access code (UW NetID) and password for access.

Once you have set up your HEAL-WA access code and password, LOG IN to HEAL-WA by clicking on the "Log In" button at the top of this column.

LOG OUT from HEAL-WA by simply closing your browser.

PLEASE NOTE that once you have set up your access code, it can take up to a day for your access code to be recognized so you can log in to HEAL-WA.
