Whitworth and WSU Workforce Partnership

A Whitworth University press release announces a new expansion of its 55-year partnership with Washington State University's School of Health Sciences. The collaboration will reserve 10 % of seats in Whitworth's physical therapy and occupational therapy doctoral programs for qualified WSU applicants while WSU will reserve the same number of seats for Whitworth students in its pharmacy, nutrition, exercise physiology, and coordinated dietetics programs. The new enrollment agreements will facilitate a smooth transition for more students to enter master's and doctoral programs, according to Mike Ediger, dean of Whitworth’s School of Health Sciences. Both institutions share the goal of recruiting health sciencestudents for eventual job placement in the region.
