WSU College of Nursing Offers Two Specialty Tracks

May 8, 2025
The Master of Nursing Program at Washington State University announces a redesign. In response to discussions and input from community advisory groups and changing workforce needs, the University will now offer two specialty tracks: Clinical Systems Leadership and Nurse Educator. The program for both tracks is a one-year hybrid format created for RNs with Bachelor's degrees. It will be available to students on the Spokane, Tri-Cities, Yakima and Vancouver campuses. Graduates will be qualified to lead healthcare system improvements or to educate nurses. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that employment for medical and health services managers, which include nurse executives, will grow approximately 32% from 2020 to 2030, significantly faster than the average for all occupations. Applications open on May 15, the deadline for the first cohort is June 15.
